Winter Parking is Here Again
Winter is already here and we’ve experienced one storm so far…others are to come! Please remember the winter parking ordinances begin November 1st and remains in effect until April 1st with no parking on city streets between the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Adhering to the parking ordinances helps our Public Works Department keep our streets clear and safe during winter months.
Remember, vehicles parked on the road during or after a snow storm impedes the way of the snow plow which will result in a towing of the vehicle at the owner’s expense. Home owners are responsible to remove snow from sidewalks in front of their home and private driveways.
The snow plow drivers cannot always avoid snow pushed into driveways. Please avoid shoveling or pushing snow back into the roadway after it has been plowed.
Let’s all work together to enjoy the winter season by helping each other and lending a hand where needed by removing snow.
By the way, the property off 750 West has received several hundred pounds of dirt. This has been placed on City property. This dirt will be leveled and receded. Currently, there are no plans to break ground or start construction.
Don’t forget about Santa at the Cabin!
Santa is looking forward to meeting the children of Harrisville—all the good girls and boys! Please come to the Martin Henderson Harris Cabin (725 W. Harrisville Road) on December 14th from 5:30-7:00. Get your list ready and check it twice!
