Basketball is finishing the season in stride

Thursday, February 13, 2014 - 6:30pm

Toward the end of the season, the boy’s basketball season has not gone as expected, but that doesn’t mean you should hold out on showing your pride in the basketball team. This year has been a challenging one for the team but they are still going strong.

They have had some really strong showings against Cottonwood, Bonneville, and Northridge High School. Justin Shaw, Junior, had a great game in helping the wolves win 50-41 against Bonneville where he posted the game high 19 points. In another strong game against Northridge, Justin Shaw scored 23 points in rout to a 68-61 win for the boys.

Throughout the season there has been consistent play from  Justin Shaw. He has led the team in scoring all season. A positive to take out of the season is that the team is still young and can bring their excellent play into next year and help the wolves to many victories.

With the season coming to the end, it should be exciting to see how they play against our rival Weber High, on February 18 at 7 p.m. The season has gone by really fast and there is only a few games left to attend, so let’s go out and show them support so the season will end with positive momentum for next season.
