Kitsel Lusted was nominated for February Student of the Month in Science by Andrew Miller. Kistel is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Lusted.
There is a very impressive student in my class named Kitsel Lusted. She is a sophomore in AP Biology and she is doing awesome! She is a great student and a leader in my classroom. She is a hard worker and I can tell that she takes great pride in her work. It is always quality, regardless of the type, length, or difficulty of the assignment. That is an impressive trait for a sophomore and I think it shows the depth of her character. From her work, I can definitely tell that she cares about her learning and doing her best. Kitsel does not seem to be fazed by the challenge of an AP course. She just takes it all in stride and finds a way to accomplish her work. She seems to get excited by the prospect of a challenging assignment that causes her to think. It is fun to see how she uses that as motivation and she always rises to the occasion. I do not know that biology is her favorite subject in the world but she could have fooled me with the effort she gives.
Not only is Kitsel an excellent student but she is also a very nice person. She has a good sense of humor and has fun with the class but she definitely knows how to get to work and get things done. She always seems happy (and slightly exhausted from swimming) and has a great willingness to be taught. Her participation in class is always appreciated she is definitely someone I can count on to be engaged in the class discussion and provide insightful comments.

Shaye Graham is the son of Nate and Monica Lobato and Amy Wilcox. Shaye was nominated by Jace McKee for February Student of the Month in PE/Health
The things that stood out to me about Shaye was despite being a senior in a sophomore dominated class and having moved here from the metropolis of Tooele, was his willingness to learn, participate and be engaged in the learning process. Shaye was always willing to share answers, make comments and share opinions. His behavior and his participation added to the class, it was easier to teach his class some other classes and in doing so, he helped other students learn more about health. When you have a student willing to share thoughts, it relaxes the rest of the students and they feel more inclined to share their thoughts, Shaye made this happen in his class. He also did good work; he was responsible for his work and assignments and took pride in doing a good job. It is a pleasure to nominate Shaye Graham as the Health and PE department student of the month.

Mikaela Call is the daughter of Mandee Call and Preston Call. Tom Davison Nominated her for Science Student of the Month for February.
I have nominated Mikaela as science student of the month because of her overall performance and commitment to chemistry and her other science classes. She is like many Box Elder students who choose to take on more than one science class at a time. She is excelling in chemistry and in medical anatomy. She has yet to miss a single question on a chemistry test this trimester and has competed her class work at 100% as well.
Mikaela is not just smart and hardworking though. She is a very active learner with many questions that lead the class into deeper investigation into chemistry and science in general. She does not just accept knowledge because I present it; she questions, researches, and learns for herself as well. This makes Mikaela a truly outstanding student. This will make Mikaela a very successful person in the future as well.

Spencer Bobb Naumannwas nominated by Michelle Smith his Business/Financial Lit Teacher for February Student of the Month. Bobb’s parents are Jay and Melanie Naumann
It is a pleasure for me to nominate (Spencer) Bobb Naumann for student of the month. I have had the opportunity to teach Bobb in several classes over the past two years. He is always there, in class, ready to learn. It has been fun to see him learn the sometimes-difficult concepts in Accounting and Financial Literacy and then find ways to apply them in life. Bobb attended the region FBLA competition in January and I think it was a little out of his comfort zone. However, he was willing to give it a try and he took 1st place in Accounting I. For a first time attender, this was very impressive. He is now going to attend the FBLA state competition. I have enjoyed having Bobb in my classes, and I appreciate his attitude and his willingness to work hard and learn.

John Findlay nominated Meagan Kaminsky for Orchestra February Student of the Month. Meagan is the daughter of Karie and Daniel Kaminsky.
I would like to nominate Meagan Kaminsky as the Student of the Month for Orchestra. Meagan is an outstanding student in many ways. She is a hard worker. She is a great example to those around her. Meagan is the principal cellist in our orchestra, and she does a wonderful job at leading the group in sectionals. Meagan has made tremendous improvement at playing the cello over the years, and that comes from hard work and dedication. Meagan exemplifies someone who sets goals and works to accomplish them. As a senior, she has been in the orchestra program for many years, and she will be missed greatly next year. Meagan is destined for great things in the future.
