Dave Smith nominated Shaylee Redington for Counseling February Student of the Month. Shaylee is the daughter of Daren and Peggy Redington of Brigham City, Utah
I would like to nominate Shaylee Redington. Shaylee is a marvelous young lady who stands out amongst her peers. She is a quiet person and may not seek the outward accolades that others seek but that is very reason she stands out to me. She is a very conscientious student always wanting to do her best and willing to put forth the work to make that shine through. One of the greatest qualities that Shaylee has is the willingness to ask questions and get confirmations on what is expected of her so that she can reach or exceed those expectations. It has been very gratifying to see Shaylee interact with her peers. She is always kind and caring for those around her and once again, she does this in quiet unassuming way. A kind word here and smile there from Shaylee has made all the difference in other students and my day. Shaylee is quietly GREAT!

Gracie Palmer daughter of Shane Palmer and Tonya Palmer. Gracie was nominated for February Student of the Month by Wayne Burrell in CTE
Gracie has been a delight to have in my class. She is a very diligent young lady and strives to always do her best. I have had her enrolled in both my Ag Biology and my Animal Science courses and she has received an A grade in both classes. Here citizenship has also been stellar by receiving an honorary grade in both classes.
Gracie is very polite and kind. She has always treated me with respect and politeness and has demonstrated those same attributes to her fellow classmates. She is encouraging and a joy to have in class. She has insightful comments and participates in answering questions when the class needs encouragement to do so. I have met her parents on a couple of occasions and have been extremely impressed with them. They are individuals that do an excellent job in raising a daughter. They encourage hard work, discipline when needed and create an environment of trust and respect, and above all provide a great deal of love. We need more home environments like the Palmer’s in today’s society.

Jessica Patino nominated for Math February Student of the Month by Shawn Seamons. Jessica is the daughter of Antonio Patino and Monica Patino
Jessica is in her senior year and showing us all that the value of education goes beyond the classroom. She is presently in my BEE time and I rarely see her not working on something related to improving her scores and advancing her education. She exemplifies the purpose of BEE time through her diligent efforts to work on relevant material, rather than waste time. I have nominated
Jessica because her hard work and persistent effort are strong evidence that she would like to be successful during her time here in school, and that she will be successful at whatever she chooses to do. Let us celebrate this great example of doing things the right way.
Thank you Jessica.

Cain Harrop is the son of Josh and Tasha Walmer and Jerod and Candice Harrop
I have nominated Cain Harrop for student of the month for dance/P.E. states Tara Whitaker; Box Elder High School Dance Teacher. It has been such a pleasure getting to know Cain while he has taken my classes. He has been in several of my classes and has impressed me with the positive and upbeat attitude that he has every single day. No matter what we are doing that day, he is ready and eager to learn. I never have to worry about his participation because he is a good leader and sets an example to the other students. Even if a particular dance move is difficult, Cain learns it quickly and accurately and is always willing to help others. I watch him give 100% to the things we do in class, even when it would be much easier avoid doing it. It is my pleasure to give student of the month to Cain; he has earned it.

William Cox is the son of Udine Cox and John Cox. William was nominated by Barbara Dallon for February Student of the Month in English.
William Cox is a quiet giant. He has a very strong work ethic and tries his best to achieve success. He works well with others, is not afraid to answer questions from teacher and he follows directions given without complaint. If by some chance he does not understand he is not afraid to ask for the help he needs—as he needs it. William makes sure that he stays caught up with the class. He is offers to help others around him when asked. William is an amazing young man by being honest and trustworthy. It is an honor to have him in a class. He teaches you on the qualities of being a great student just as much as you teach him about nouns writing. Thanks, William for being the example that you are to others.
