We are excited to have our Movie in the Park back for another year!
Monday, July 2nd at 7:30 p.m. at the Mtn. View Park.
The movie will be Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. There will be food available, as well as popcorn and candy!

Grand Marshals: Jim and Betty Kimose
Jim Kimose comes from a long generation of Farr West residents as his grandpa Fisher once owned two-thirds of the city. He and his wife Betty of 70 years have raised their four children (James C., Buck, Kathleen and Shelley and Phil Nelson) here and they say Farr West was the best place in the county to raise a family! Jim served in the Air Force and was in Iwo Jima as the flag was raised. He later, along with his son James, ran one of the largest garbage routes in the county which also served Farr West City. Jim also made a career as a brick layer and at 96 years old, is still laying brick. Betty worked in several of the nearby grocery stores as a meat wrapper. In 1948 they bought a telephone office in Farr West and tore it down to build a home. They later moved to their current home where they have lived for 59 years. Jim and Betty have loved traveling with their family all over the states in their RV. Jim has a great personality and has continued to make Betty and many others laugh for many years. We thank the Kimose’s for their continued participation in our community.

The Rec Center SUMMER hours will begin on June 4th and are as follows: Mon-Thurs: 5:30 am – 10 am; 3 pm – 8 pm Friday: 5:30 am – 10 am; 4 pm – 7 pm Saturday: 9 am –Noon. Closed Sunday.
