Willard issues fire restrictions - The City of Willard implemented new fire restrictions at Thursday's City Council meeting. Effective immediately, fires, fireworks, tracer ammunition, pyrotechnic devices of any kind and outdoor metal grinding/welding near vegetation are now prohibited east of US-89 through September 15. Attended campfires in permanent enclosures designed for that purpose are OK.

Willard City Fire Dept. Firefighters Ball at Willard City hall and bowery, on the night of July 2nd.

Starting with a bike show at 4:00-7:00

Dinner of pit roasted pig, baked potato, salad, ice cream and beverage starting at 5:00 to 8:00.

Auction at 7:00

Dancing at 8:00 until 12:00 with a live band.

Drawing at 10:00

With ongoing activities throughout the day on July 4th. With Breakfast, parade, patriotic show, activities throughout the day.  Ending with fireworks at Willow East Park at 10:00 p.m.

I-15: Box Elder Project Corridor Activities

     •Day and nighttime construction activities are expected in all areas

     • Speed limit: 65 MPH along the construction corridor

     • Clear, grub, excavation, backfill, barrier, storm drain activities

     • Fencing, sign relocation, paint and tape removal 

     • Asphalt and concrete paving 

     • Bridge and utility work continue along the construction corridor

     • Intermittent, nighttime, single lane configuration

I-15: Farr West – Brigham Single Lane Closures: Bridge and Paving Activities

Crews have begun paint and tape removal with concrete paving continuing along the construction corridor through fall 2016.

     • Intermittent, nightly, single lane configurations in 3 mile segments

     • North and southbound

     • Sunday - Saturday

I-15: Bridge Work Continues 

 Bridge work continues along the I-15 Box Elder corridor with day and nighttime activities expected to take place in all areas. Motorists and residents may experience an increase in noise, light, dust, vibration, construction personnel, vehicles and machinery in the area.

I-15 Bridge: 2950 South - Perry

     • Bridge work at 2950 South is projected to continue through fall 2016  

     • Sleeper slabs are scheduled to be poured June 23 - 24

     • Bridge approach areas are scheduled to be poured June 28 - 29

     • Motorists traveling east and west under the bridge may encounter intermittent lane restrictions

     • Daytime and nighttime activities may take place

     • Detour Route: 2700 South

I-15 Bridge: 750 North (Exit 357) - Willard   

     • Bridge work at 750 North is projected to continue through fall 2016  

     • Sleeper slabs are scheduled to be poured June 27 - 28

     • Bridge approach areas are scheduled to be poured July 1- 2   

     • Construction personnel will be onsite at 750 North to direct motorists traveling east and west under the bridge

     • Intermittent single lane configuration with possible wait times up to 15 minutes

     • Detour Route: US 89

I-15 Bridge: 7800 South - Willard

     • Bridge work at 7800 South is projected to continue through fall 2016

     • Motorists traveling east and west under the bridge may encounter intermittent lane restrictions

     • Daytime and nighttime activities may take place

     • Detour Route: 8700 South - 1500 West

I-15 Bridge: 8700 South - Willard

     • Bridge work at 8700 South is projected to continue through fall 2016

     • Motorists traveling east and west under the bridge may encounter intermittent lane restrictions

     • Daytime and nighttime activities may take place

     • Detour Route: 7800 South - 1500 West

I-15: Perry Rest Area

 Utility work is scheduled to continue at the northbound Perry Rest Area through fall 2016.  The Rest Area will remain open with limited parking available.

Wide Load Restrictions

 Trucks with loads wider than 11' are required to have an escort while driving through the construction corridor (2700 North in Farr West to 1100 South in Brigham City).

Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather, equipment or material delays.

Safety Reminder: For your safety and the safety of those working in the area, please exercise caution, stay alert and be prepared for changing lane configurations throughout the construction corridor.
