Please join us for our annual Holiday Lighting Celebration to kick off the holiday season on Monday, November 27, 2017. Come and enjoy musical selections from Pioneer Elementary and Farr West Elementary. Lighting will commence at 6:00 p.m. with refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus and his elf to follow.
Mayor Dickemore awarded the Make a Difference award to Vicki Ross for her participation in the CERT program and approved the purchase of a Kubota tractor for the Smith Family Park.

Talmage Smedley was seeking approval of a kennel license. Mr. Smedley commented they have a 34x40 pole barn in the backyard that they would finish off and put a climate controlled kennel room in part of it with an exercise yard around the building. Recommend approval of a conditional use permit for a kennel license. There are four conditions attached to the conditional use permit: only ten dogs allowed, all dogs must be confined to kennel when unattended and at night, dogs not allowed outside of kennel when unattended and that there be no unreasonable noise nuisance allowed.
The makings for a new school in the Remuda Court Subdivision is underway.
The Senior Center is open Monday through Wednesday with a variety of different activities throughout the week. The Center’s Christmas activity will be held on December 6th with dinner and entertainment. If you are interested in attending, please sign up at the Senior Center or by contacting Jean Branch at 801-782-3497. We welcome all residents 55 and older to come join in the fun each week!
As winter approaches, please keep in mind it is unlawful for any person to park any vehicle on any public street in the City between December 1 and March 1 between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. the following day, or until the street has been plowed after a measurable snowfall.
