National Night Out Against Crime is scheduled for August 2, 2016 at 6:30pm - 8:30pm taking place at Perry Park. Come meet all the people who keep us safe and learn some good tips on crime prevention and safety. Event will include: Police & Fire Meet and Greet, Bike Rodeo, Smokey the Bear, Face Painting, Treats, and Prize Raffle. Some lucky kids are going to win bikes!!!
Firework Restrictions: On June 23, 2016 at the advice of the Fire Marshall the Perry City Council passed Resolution 16-13 implementing firework restrictions in the following areas: East of Highway 89 and West of the Railroad Track.
These restrictions will remain in effect through September 30, 2016. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe. Also, as a notice to residents and pursuant to requirements in the fire services contract with Brigham City, the Perry City Council passed Ordinance 15-H which deals with the Violation and Penalty to Provide for Time and Procedures for Collections for Emergency Services Provided. This ordinance protects Perry City and the taxpayers from incurring significant costs for fire services. Essentially, the person starting the fire, or if that cannot be determined the landowner on whose property the fire is extinguished, is financially responsible for all costs associated with the fire suppression and/or emergency services call out. Landowners should take precautions by removing weeds, debris, and other propellants from their property to reduce the risk of fire hazards.
