From Councilman Gwynn: With the most recent storm water and sewer infiltration events on the north end of the city as well as in neighborhoods in the center of the city we have learned about the power and effectiveness of volunteerism and community involvement in helping our neighbors.  To all of those who helped - thank you.  If you would like to learn more about how you can contribute more to Farr West during an emergency or crisis please consider becoming a member of the Farr West Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  Please call Vicki Ross at 801-686-5128 for more information.  In response to these events the Planning Commission and City Council are currently working on city code amendments and an additional chapter to the city code to resolve the illegal sump pump installations, as well as develop language that will dictate if and when the city's Emergency Response Plan will automatically be activated and who activates it.

From Councilman Jay: Spring is not quite here yet, but it is only a few weeks away.  It is not too early to take a look around our yards and open areas, especially those visible from the street, and see what needs to be cleaned up.  We can all work together to make Farr West as beautiful as possible.

========================

From Councilman Ferrin: With all the water this year mosquitos could be an issue. The WMAD is preparing and is ready to fight this war on our pesky little friends. Please visit the website at www.webermosquito.com  for information about what you can do to help prevent mosquitos.

Road projects for the year have been sent out to bid, as we get ready to start those projects will we post on Facebook of any road closures or detours.

From Mayor Dickemore:  I would like to thank our Public Works employees (Nate, Dave, Robbie and Matt) for all of their hard work in snow removal, flooding and laying pipe this winter.  Another thank you to Randy Marriott Construction for their help in laying the pipe during our flooding emergency and Commissioner Kerry Gibson for his aid in cutting 4000 North during this same time.  We appreciate the residents for attending our open house in December and their input they provided on the direction of the city.
