Spring has sprung! There are several upcoming items on the calendar of which you may want to beware. Senior Center Events Family Bingo Night is held every Thursday in March from 6 - 8:30 pm, with only two more chances to come have fun with the whole family. The event is at the Brigham Senior Center located at 24 N 300 W in Brigham. The event is being held as a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. Everyone is welcome!
The Perry City Soccer Fields are not available to rent until March 28th, and they are on a first reserved basis. Any questions, please contact the Perry City Offices.
Cert Training Carbon Monoxide Detector Information & Training will be held on Tuesday March 28th at 7pm at the Perry City Offices. For additional information about training contact Sue at 435-723-8903.
The Perry City Green Waste will be open starting Saturday, April 1st, and will remain open through October 28th. See the Perry City webpage for the Green Waste rules and conditions. The Green Waste will be supervised and will only be open weather permitting during the following times: Fridays: 3pm - 7pm Saturdays: 12pm - 4pm.
Before you burn your spring trimmings, you must first obtain a burn permit. There is no cost. Permits can be obtained by going online through Brigham City’s web page underneath the dept. tab, then under Fire/EMS there is a link for open burning permits. Permits will be available on days with good air quality, and fires must be put out by dark. Open burn goes from March 1st to May 31st
The 11th annual Perry City Yard Sale will be held Saturday May 20th. Perry City will provide maps and advertising for this event. There is no charge for participating in the community-wide yard sale. Sales should begin at 8am and go to at least 12 noon. To add a location to the list of yard sales, call Tom Peterson at 435-723-3987 before May 18th to advertise for this event. Last year there were over 75 participants.
Three Mile Creek Range for public shooting starts after Friday, May 26th at the Three Mile Creek Range.
Willard/Perry Kindergarten Round-up Children who will be five years of age BEFORE Sept. 2, 2017 are about to start a wonderful, exciting adventure. At this time, Willard Elementary is trying to locate incoming kindergarten students in the Willard/Perry communities. If you have a child eligible for kindergarten, please contact the school by calling 435-734-4934, or you could just stop by the school at 40 W 50 S in Willard between the hours or 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The traditional round-up at USU will not be held this year. Willard School will hold a Kindergarten Meet and Greet in April. Students whose last name begins with the letters A - K will come April 12th and those who begin with L- Z will come on April 19th, on both days the time will be 2:30 PM.

Perry City has several projects and activities that had great success in 2016, receiving 2.35 million in grant money that was acquired for City projects. For example, the bowery at Dale Young Nature Park was reconstructed, and Perry participated in the county Emergency Preparedness Fair in September. Perry now has 5 shovel-ready restaurant pads at Pointe Perry and 5 fully improved residential lots east of the Three Mile Creek Elementary School available for sale. Perry has been fully built out with UTOPIA light speed fiber (250 Mbps to 1 Gig speeds) and 265 residents have been connected.
