Our outstanding volleyball team will be playing for the district championship today at 3:30 in the Fremont gymnasium. The entrance fee is $1 that can be paid in the main office at Wahlquist or at the door as you arrive. We would love to have a huge turnout. These athletes have worked so hard to get to this point and we want to show them our support.
Our mid-winter Parent Teacher Conference will be held on December 6 from 1:00-6:30. We would love to have everyone attend. This is a great opportunity for parents and students to work with their teachers. This communication is priceless as we create relationships in our community. Please plan on attending.
On December 7, we will hold a lockdown drill. Students will not be evacuated. They will just practice the response protocol in their classrooms. We will have Weber County officers participating that day. This is a mandatory training that must be conducted every year. The drill will take place between 9:30 and 10:30 that morning. Students will not be able to check out of their classes during this time. Please plan accordingly as we try to practice with the students.
We are in the middle of our Sub for Santa drive. Our students have been participating in our annual dodge ball tournament. There will be class competitions, lunchtime activities, and the winter dance, with proceeds all going toward the fundraiser. This is a great cause and our students do such a great job of supporting it. We want to thank everyone in advance for your support. All funds will go to support families in our community.
Finally, I have attached the “What’s Up” at Wahlquist for November. Check out all of the great things happening at our school.
Sincerely, Scott Elliott
