Hey everyone, I wanted to return and report on the County Commission Meeting tonight and how Blue Ox Development was involved.

Zoning Proposal Z17-007 was put forth by the county after MG-EX (Blue Ox's land) zoning proposal was denied last month so there is currently no zoning assigned to their land.

The county proposed to approve the zone as Residential (R120) but Blue Ox requested to deny or table the zoning decision because Blue Ox has other plans for their land that do not fall under the R120 Residential zoning uses. (Hmmm..)

Blue Ox stated that they are not yet ready to divulge their plans until they have completed their hydro-ecological study to illustrate the impact of their plans. The study will take another 60 days or so.

A few of us from South Willard spoke at the public hearing section to encourage the commission to approve the residential zoning decision as it is consistent with what we desire for our community.

Ultimately, the commission decided to table/postpone the decision to zone MG-EX as R120, which freezes any zoning decisions on the land for up to six months, at which point, the county will decide to approve or deny the zoning as residential.

Regardless of the decision, Blue Ox will need to submit a new application for zoning, at which point, another public hearing will be held. Please keep your ears to the ground on when this will happen so that we can represent at the next public hearing which can happen anytime in the coming months
