This year Harrisville City will be holding elections for the following offices:

Mayor (4-year term), 2 City Council seats (4-year terms) and one City Council seat (2-year term).  In order to qualify as a candidate, interested individuals must file in person between June 1st and June 7th at the City Office, 363 W. Independence Blvd.

The office will be open Mon-Thurs. 8 AM-5PM, Friday 8AM-12PM.  Outside of those hours you may contact Jennie Knight at 801-710-4120 or jknight@cityofharrisville.com.

Talent Show Sign Ups for Harrisville Heritage Days!

Come show off your talents! Submit an entry form online at https://www.cityofharrisville.com/heritage-days or email jknight@cityofharrisville.com by Thursday, June 15th, 2017. Auditions will be held June 20th between 3PM-6PM at the Harrisville Cabin, 725 West Harrisville Road.

Harrisville Heritage Days will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2017. The theme this year is: My Strength is my People. You can look forward to fun events this year including:  The parade starting at 9AM (see https://www.cityofharrisville.com/heritage-days for the parade route).

Directly after the parade, come on over to the Main Bowery at the Harrisville Park for the Rise-n-Shine Breakfast at 9:30 am.

Vendor booths will open at 11:00 a.m. with lots of free, family activities such as: The Sawdust Scramble, frozen t-shirt contest, watermelon spitting, pie-eating, and corn husking. Fun for all! 

The car show will be held up on the main park ball diamond.

Harrisville’s Got Talent Show starts at 6:00PM with the awards show and dance immediately following.  The annual fireworks show will be provided by Fireworks West just after 10:00 PM.

Free Medicare Counseling

Weber Human Services is offering one-on-one counseling. Help with questions regarding Medicare prescription drug coverages, Medicare Advantage Plans, initial Medicare enrollment, low income subsidies for medications, and also help with medical billing problems.  Authorized Medicare counselors will help at no extra charge.

If you think you have been the victim of any Medicare fraud or abuse, you will find program counselors available to help. To make an appointment, or, if you have any questions, please call Weber Human Services Dept. of Aging at 801-625-3770.

Splash Pad Opening!

Check your calendars and come over to the splash pad for our summer opening on Friday, May 26th at 10:00 a.m. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Splash pad season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and is located in the Harrisville Main Park.

Baseball/Softball Season is in full swing!

The Harrisville Main Park will be very busy nearly every weeknight with t-ball, baseball and softball.  Plan accordingly if you have children playing and enjoy participating in the fun!
