17th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration

Join Ogden Downtown Alliance for Northern Utah’s Largest Event of the Year

September 22nd – Ogden, Utah. Celebrate the end of Summer 2018 with family friendly activities, live music, artisan exhibits, community organizations, unique performances, local businesses, seasonal surprises and free entry to Northern Utah’s largest event of the year! Nearly 27,000 people participated last year, with more expected for 2018.

The Seventeenth Annual Harvest Moon Celebration will take place on September 22nd from Noon to 8 pm. Located on the 100 and 200 blocks of Historic 25th Street, a street highly committed to locally-owned and operated businesses, Ogden Downtown Alliance is proud to bring together our community, local businesses and nonprofit organizations for a celebration that grows with each passing year.

New this year, Social Axe will be hosting a live Axe Throwing Competition! Additional activities range from make and take craft projects, face painting, a climbing wall, henna tattoos by Gaia Henna, Dartside play area, Endless Indulgence Retro Wear Fashion Show and more! Community partners include AndShesDopeToo, Local Artisan Collective, Snowbasin, Gibson Green Acres Farm and Corn Maze, Colunga Art, and more. Enjoy a beer garden throughout featuring the unveiling of Grand Teton Brewing’s new Hazy Harvest Moon IPA!

Main stage performances will be located on the north side of the Lincoln Avenue Intersection opening with Modern Bluegrass Americana from The Hollering Pines, followed with Gentleman’s Soul music by Joshy Soul and as the last stop of their Summer Tour, Alternative Psychedelic Indie Pop Band, James Supercave will close out the event.

A community stage located on the south side of the 200 block near Wise Guys Comedy Club will feature local up and coming talent from Imagine Music and cultural demonstrations from groups like Ballet Tutulli Folklorico, a crowd favorite, returning this year to perform traditional dances from various regions throughout Mexico.

“Harvest Moon offers a nice way to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall” says Tina Yu, owner of Tona Sushi Bar and Grill, a local, independent business that has been operating for 14 years on Historic 25th Street, “we have been involved with Harvest Moon since we opened. The best is the amount of people who visit the street and the exposure it brings our business. It is a fun day with good vibes.” shares Tina, “It’s an event for all ages – kids love the activities and excitement and adults love the music, businesses, food and beer garden.”

A variety of kid’s activities will be available until 5 pm. Beer and wine will be available at designated beverage stations for guests 21+ from Noon to 8 pm. Coolers are not allowed into the celebration and will be checked at entry points. Pets will not be allowed on the street except for certified service animals.

The Ogden Downtown Alliance and Harvest Moon Celebration are funded in part by Ogden City, Swire Coca Cola, Admiral Beverage – Pepsi, McKay Dee Hospital, Weber State University, Standard Examiner, Golden Beverage and Wasatch Distributing. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors!
