Gov. Herbert appoints Dianna Gibson to the Third District Court
SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 23, 2018) – Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Dianna Gibson as a judge for the Third District Court.
“Dianna Gibson will be a strong addition to the bench," Gov. Herbert said. "I have confidence that she will apply the law with fairness and exactness, and that she will serve the people of Utah well."
Most recently, Gibson served as vice president and general counsel at Vista Outdoor Inc. She has previously served as vice president and general counsel at Alliant Techsystems Inc. She has broad experience in commercial litigation and received her J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
“I am incredibly honored to be chosen to serve such an important role in this community," Gibson said. "I will uphold the rule of law, treat all who appear before me with respect, and do my part to ensure that justice is served.”
This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate.
