About Imagine Dragons
Formed in 2009 and featuring lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman, Imagine Dragons earned a grassroots following by independently releasing a series of EPs. After Alex Da Kid signed them to his KIDinaKORNER/Interscope label, the band made its major-label debut with the release of Continued Silence, a 2012 EP featuring the 2x platinum breakthrough single "It's Time." Night Visions arrived later that year and Imagine Dragons found themselves on a skyward trajectory that saw the album debut at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and became the No. 1 album on Spotify Worldwide for 2013. Night Visions has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide. The album's second single, the 9x-platinum "Radioactive," hit No. 1 on the Billboard Rock chart and earned the band a 2014 Grammy for "Best Rock Performance." The third single, "Demons," hit No. 1 on Alternative and Top 40 radio, and has sold 3.9 million copies in the U.S. Imagine Dragons' platinum-selling second album, Smoke + Mirrors, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and has sold 1.1 million copies worldwide. Imagine Dragons’ third studio album Evolve was certified double-platinum within a year of its June 2017 release. It earned the group back to back #1 singles with “Believer,” “Thunder,” and “Whatever It Takes.” “Thunder” also scored a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination at the 2018 Grammy Awards, with Evolve nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.
About The Tyler Robinson Foundation
The Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF) helps strengthen families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a pediatric cancer diagnosis by providing grants specifically to offset out-of-pocket life expenses. TRF is the nonprofit organization of the Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum selling band Imagine Dragons. TRF meets a critical need in communities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Each year, one in 285 children are diagnosed with cancer. While many pediatric cancer organizations focus on growing awareness and support for families with the physical and emotional toll of a diagnosis, the huge financial hardship cancer treatment places on families is rarely discussed. More than 85-percent of every dollar TRF raises goes right to families in need. For more information visit TRF.org.
About Tim Cantor
Born August 10, 1969, Tim Cantor is a self-taught surrealist artist and writer who began painting in oil at only five years of age. The young boy’s comprehension with oils was instantly visible, and his obsession began. At 15-years old, he captured early recognition when one of his paintings was acquired for the permanent collection of the White House; thereby instigating an immediate demand for his unusual talent. Throughout the following years, his paintings would be featured in prestigious art venues around the world. Today, the majority of his time is devoted to creating his paintings in the solitude and quietness of night. His meaningful works of art are intertwined with his survival, his desires, and his greatest affections. With the creation of his art, he strives to paint with the discipline of the Renaissance Masters. He fastidiously grinds his own dry pigments and spends up to two years painting each detailed composition; typically layering up to 70 coats of transparent glazes by hand and brush on each work of art. To give explanation to his often complex compositions, he has developed his own writing style that describes much of his profound imagery. Though his art has been featured in some of the world’s finest art galleries and exhibitions, Tim Cantor opened the first of his own art galleries in San Diego’s Historic Gaslamp Quarter, offering visitors an up-close look at the artist’s expressive, darkly ethereal original oil paintings and evocative writings. In 2014, Tim Cantor began working closely with Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons. Tim created the cover for their album Smoke + Mirrors as well as 13 paintings to represent each song on the LP. His art made way into their concert and stage designs as well as music videos. Tim Cantor traveled with Imagine Dragons on tour along with a large gallery of his paintings which were presented at numerous concerts throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Smoke + Mirrors went platinum and reached number one in the world on the Billboard Top 200. Since meeting Imagine Dragons, Tim became aware of TRF, the Tyler Robinson Foundation, a foundation the band brought to life in 2013 to help families who have been affected by pediatric cancer. Tim was so touched by the hundreds of lives’ impacted by TRF and wanted to become involved. It has been a privilege for Tim to create art to inspire the children and families who are a part of the TRF family. www.timcantor.com

tah Geological Survey Launches 2019 Calendar of Utah Geology
Salt Lake City (Nov. 14, 2018) — The Utah Geological Survey (UGS), a division of the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), recently released the 13th edition of its popular Calendar of Utah Geology. This year’s calendar continues a tradition of stunning photographs of Utah’s amazing geologic landscapes, but also contains more geologic educational material.
New to this year’s calendar is a state geologic map, geologic time scale, and descriptions of Utah’s geologic state symbols: rock (coal), mineral (copper), fossil (Allosaurus), dinosaur (Utahraptor), gem (topaz), and work of land art (Spiral Jetty).
A panel of UGS employees, including scientists and artist, chose from 196 photographs submitted by their peers. The competition can be fierce and the pool of submitted photographs diverse, as staff often work in some of the state’s most remote, unique and lesser known locations. Wining photographs are accompanied by location details and a brief explanation of how and when the geologic wonders formed.
“The calendars make affordable, unique, and thoughtful gifts made, printed, and sold in Utah,” said Natural Resources Map & Bookstore Manager Brian Butler. “Previous years’ calendars have sold quickly, aided by large orders from corporate customers such as real estate agencies and law firms who give them out as client gifts.”
The 2019 Calendar of Utah Geology is a bargain at $5.95 each, $4.95 for orders of 10 or more, and $4.25 for orders of 100 or more. It is available at the Natural Resources Map & Bookstore, 1594 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, (801) 537-3320 or 1-888-UTAHMAP. They may also be purchased online at www.mapstore.utah.gov.
The Utah Geological Survey provides timely scientific information about Utah’s geologic environment, resources, and hazards. It is one of seven divisions within the Utah Department of Natural Resources.
