Joint Statement of Western Hemisphere Agriculture Leaders
Niigata, Japan, May 12, 2019 – Western Hemisphere agriculture leaders met today on the margins of the G-20 Agricultural Ministerial in Niigata, Japan, affirming their intent to work together to champion global food security and agricultural trade on the basis of sound science and risk analysis principles. Following the meeting, top agricultural officials from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and the United States issued the following statement.
“Together, we stand to work in partnership, and jointly with additional countries, to support regulatory approaches that are risk- and science-based, predictable, consistent, and transparent. Our five nations recognize that innovations in the agriculture sector contribute to improved productivity, including by smallholder and young farmers, and rural women, in a safe and sustainable manner, and to our countries’ ability to meet the ever-growing global demand for food. With the world’s population projected to reach 9.8 billion by 2050, science and innovation will play a key role in enabling agriculture producers to safely feed everyone.
“As Western Hemisphere agricultural leaders, we affirm our intent to work together to champion global agricultural trade based on sound science and risk analysis principles. We also affirm our intent to allow farmers and ranchers access to the tools needed to: increase productivity; reduce food loss and waste; protect soil, water and biodiversity; and produce safe, nutritious, affordable food products year-round, to the benefit of the world population.”
Participating in the meeting were: Argentine Secretary of Agroindustry Luis MiguelEtchevehere; Brazilian Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply Tereza Cristina Dias; Canadian Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Marie-Claude Bibeau; Mexican Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development Victor Villalobos; and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.

About Charity Bomb
Charity Bomb is a non-profit organization founded by four philanthropic friends to produce benefit shows for a variety of charitable organizations in the scope of music. Our motto is "All Purpose Altruism" - we deliver 100% of the proceeds, 100% of the time, with 100% transparency, to ensure that the funds raised reach its intended constituency, every dime, every time.
Musician & Philanthropist, Matthew Leone was put into a coma with 1/3 of his skull removed after rescuing a woman being beaten on the streets of Chicago a few years back. From Kevin, Lyman & Warped Tour, to Kiss and Madonna, the international music community rallied to bring him back to life. Smashing Pumpkins even did a benefit show for him. Twin brother, singer for their band Madina Lake, Nathan Leone agrees, this is what saved his life. Consequently, the Leone's devoted their lives to giving back. After several years with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund & Help Musicians UK, it was time to branch out. All-Purpose Altruism - Charity Bomb reflects the ubiquitous truth that love is the antidote for everything. This notion, as applied in our philanthropic context, asserts that we will drum up love, in all of its forms, for a particular cause or purpose, and drop it on the antagonist.
Los Angeles native, professional musician & acclaimed songwriter, Nik Frost, suffered from addiction. When drugs came dangerously close to claiming his life, it was fellow musicians, Dave Kushner & Brian O'conner (Velvet Revolver & Eagles of Death Metal respectively) who intervened and came to his rescue. Nik worked with Matthew on several projects, all a pre-destination to Charity Bomb.We are a non-profit, fundraising and awareness agent for any benevolent cause that enters our ether.
Ryan Ford, lifelong closest friend, philanthropist, successful entrepreneur, an avid lover of music, is the fourth Charity Bomber. Ryan's founded several businesses, MP45 Records among them, and brings the administrative acumen to complement his creative contribution to the collective. In short, we have the purpose, we know the right people and we know how to put on a show. We love a win-win-win outcome. It's abundantly clear that living a life where we produce spectacular live music events that serve a philanthropic cause, makes our constituents win, our clients win, and the fans win.

Release at: http://www.thomas-pr.com/robosense/robosensestevieabaawardrelease.html
May 7, 2019, NY, NY – RoboSense (Suteng Innovation Technology Co., Ltd) www.robosense.ai, a leader in LiDAR perception technology solutions, announced today that it has won the GOLD 2019 Stevie® Award in the “Transportation Category” for the RoboSense Automotive Grade MEMS LiDAR Perception System. The award will be given out at the 17thAnnual Stevie Awards - American Business Awards®, to be held in NY City on June 11, 2019.
The RoboSense Automotive Grade MEMS LiDAR Perception System is a revolutionary automotive solution that makes autonomous driving safer, easily mass produced, and lower cost. In addition to the Stevie Award, the RoboSense system is a CES 2019 Innovation Award winner. The system includes automotive grade MEMS solid-state LiDAR RS-LiDAR-M1 and RoboSense’s unique perception RS-LiDAR-Algorithms for a complete system that lets the vehicle understand the road for safer autonomous driving. RoboSense’s system offers ground-breaking mass production-ready hardware and software based vehicle environmental perception to support Level 3 to Level 5 autonomous driving at a fraction of the cost.
In preparation for autonomous vehicle mass market growth, RoboSense recently launched the Smart Sensor System (SSS), which combines RoboSense LiDAR sensors, AI point cloud algorithms, and an IC design for chip development. Created for four key smart transportation vehicle applications: autonomous passenger cars, low-speed autonomous vehicles, high-speed RoboTaxis, and V2R (Vehicle to Road infrastructure), the RoboSense Smart Sensor System is a smarter information interpreter that collects and interprets environmental information in one-stop for safer and more intelligent autonomous driving.
Stevie Award Judges Say RoboSense System “will take autonomous driving to the next level” “Impressive product with great growth potential”
A Stevie Award judge said the “MEMS LiDAR Perception System costs 1/500th the cost of mechanical LiDAR and provides higher resolution and better field of view. With intelligence perception algorithms, it can clearly recognize small objects, such as railings and fences and works in all weather conditions and at night and has no blind zone. It is automotive grade and has longer detection distance, making it ideal for autonomous solutions.” Another judge said it is “the best performer in the category and will take autonomous driving to the next level.” And another judge concluded, the RoboSense System is “Innovative technology which cuts costs and improves performance greatly. This has everything in its favor and offers the complete package for next generation vehicles.”
More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
“We are honored to be recognized by the prestigious American Business Awards for our innovative LiDAR technology that propels autonomous driving into mass production for use by everyone, from passenger cars, RoboTaxis, logistics vehicles, shuttle buses, and more,” said Mark Qiu, Co-Founder & COO, RoboSense.
“The nominations submitted to The 2019 American Business Awards were outstanding. They illustrate the continued vibrancy of innovation and high level of achievement across the American economic landscape,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.

Sen. Lee Introduces Air Traffic Control Safe Operations and Readiness Act
WASHINGTON - Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced the Air Traffic Control Safe Operations and Readiness Act Monday, a bill designed to decrease the number of applicants that flunk out of the air traffic control academy.
“When employers look to hire a new employee, common sense suggests they should look for qualified candidates with job-relevant experience,” Sen. Lee said. “Currently federal law forbids the FAA from doing this for half of their air traffic controller hire. This is ridiculous. We need to let the FAA hire experienced candidates that have the best skills to keep us safe.”
The ATC SOAR Act would restore common sense hiring to the FAA by eliminating the requirement that approximately 50% of open controller positions go to “off the street” applicants and would instruct the FAA to give preference to veterans, national guard members, and candidates with previous controller experience or training..
