New Life Northview—on September 27, the Salt Shakers from New Life Northveiw Church had a great lunch out at Taggerts’ Grill. Beverly Wead and Mary Ann Linnen thought the lunch was wonderful!
On October 7 – 10 many of the congregation went to Cederedge, Colorado, for a few days of doing mission work there. They went to help with construction going on there, and all that was needed was gas money and food to get there and a willing heart. Volunteers stayed in cabins and were served breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. What a way to help others.
Halloween carnival—Light the Night will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 to 7:30 pm at Plain City Town Square Park—2425 N. 4425 W. There will be Trunk or Treat, games, face painting, balloon animals, and inflatables. There will also be free food and beverages, live music and hayrides—fun for the whole family. Farr West 7th Ward—Christa Larsen helped host the Super Saturday where Polly Floyd taught everyone about 72-hour kits, including the infant 72-hour kit. Lunch was provided, along with some time to make a holiday craft. Participants had a wonderful time enjoying each other’s company and the sisterhood.
Stephanie McRae wants to remind everyone of the Ward Halloween Party on Thursday October 29 @ 6 pm at the church. There will be dinner, games, and fun. Costumes encouraged.
Allison Caldwell did not want to leave out the Daddy Daughter date night that was held on September 17. The girls were so cute with their handsome dads. It was a lot of fun and something the girls will treasure always.
Janine Harmon encouraged many in the Ward to come and attend the seminar to help strengthen marriages. The seminar was held September 17 and led by Dr. John Lund. It was a great night with many ideas shared. We also want to thank Janine for helping with the Ward Temple Night in September at Ogden Temple for initiatory or sealing ordinances.
Farr West 8th Ward - Ashley Clawson sent in pictures of the deacons on the Indian Trail hike September 2. The scouts were prepping for the big 20-mile hike to earn the hiking merit badge. Great job guys!
Farr West 2nd Ward - Nicole Larreau wanted to thank all those that came out to the General Women's Broadcast on September 26, where they enjoyed a potato bar dinner. Nicole also said the Marriage and Family Relations class on September 18twas a great date night.
The father and son’s campout went off without a hitch on September 11. Kyle Daybell invited everyone to come up to Valley View Stake Campground, where they had fun activities for all to do, including making S’mores. Breakfast was provided in the morning. The whole outing was a blast.
