Namely, the outgoing Council members Paul Dinsdale and Ava Painter. Ms. Painter served for 12 years has been a great asset during the grant writing-process for the Smith Family Park. We would like to thank Lou Waikart as well for his service the past two years. He has worked with getting the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) in place and with the City in preparing Emergency Operation Plan. There is always room for more people to join C.E.R.T, so if you are interested please contact Margaret Satterthwaite at: msat670@hotmail or by phone at 801-737-0679.
Farr West City has a number of employees that have shown a lot of dedication to public service, including the wonderful snowplow drivers, Robbie, Dave and Sean, who work countless hours to keep the roads clean and safe. Dave and Robbie also worked tirelessly to make sure the annual holiday lighting celebration was a success. Farr West City would like to thank the choirs from Wahlquist Junior High, Farr West Elementary and Pioneer Elementary for their continued participation. A big thanks to the Senior Center and the Youth Council for their help with the celebration. Also, the City Recorder, Lindsay Afuvai, was certified in December 2015 as a municipal clerk by the Utah Municipal Clerk Association. Thank You to all of the caring citizens that help make Farr West a wonderful place to be.
In January, the Make a Difference Award was presented by Mayor Dickemore to Margaret Satterthwaite for her contributions as an administrative assistant to the Emergency manager and as a liaison between the CERT Council and volunteers.
