With School starting, Farr West City would like to remind everyone to go slow and watch for children walking to and from school. Also beware of school buses pulling off the highway and back on. There were several times cars went around busses stopped with flashing light at the end of the year last year. As always we need to watch for all hidden dangers while driving.
Smith Family Park Update; Boyd Ferrin reported that curbing has been engineered and staked. Boyd also reported that once restrooms are installed the park will be opened to the public.
Approval of Business License – Gunworks, LLC – Garrett Wall. Boyd Ferrin asked how the business would operate if guns will not be on site. Mr. Wall stated that it is a call center. Boyd Ferrin asked how many employees he would have. Mr. Wall stated that right now he has three.
Serenity House of Wellness – Sheila Taylor/Donna Russell. Donna Russell explained that the business would consist of mental illness therapy. David Jay asked how the cliental is found. Miss Russell stated that it is mostly done by referrals.
Protein Evolution – Aaron Munn & Angie Manning. Boyd Ferrin asked if this is the same truck that was present at the Freedom Festival.
Updates on the assignments of the Council
Matt Gwynn reported on the Fire District Board meeting. Matt also reported that there will be a Safety and Emergency Fair on September 24 at 9am at the city offices.
Tom Burkland reported on the Central Weber Sewer Board meeting. Tom also commented that legislation was passed in January that requires boards to have separate directly elected members. Tom then commented that the districts are pushing against this very heavily.
David Jay reported that he is in communication with 26 individuals who are out of compliance with City code. David reported that 13 of those individuals are working to be in compliance.
Mayor Dickemore reported that Maverick is interested in putting a new station in the City. The Rec Center has basketball clinics going on. Mayor Dickemore then updated the council on the Smith Family Park. Mayor Dickemore asked the council to look into whether or not the City should continue renting out the City tents used at the Freedom Festival.

Included the following Acierto LLC, Riley's Farm Fresh, Otterfund LLC, Altitude Dance Studio Corp, Epic Motor Group LLC, J&J Excavating & Construction LLC and Pleasant View Dialysis Center. New Vision Hotrods has petitioned for a new sign.
Joe Markland has been part of the Planning Commission, but has moved on because of a new job opportunity. John thanked Joe for his service on the Planning Commission and commented it has been pleasure working with him. Joe Markland stated that it was a pleasure working with this wonderful City.
I-15: 2700 North To I-84 Interchange In Riverdale - Rehabilitation Project
Formerly known as the I-15 NOW project, this project is designed to extend the life of the pavement. By completing this project, UDOT is able to preserve Utah's infrastructure by applying cost effective treatments before major rehabilitation is required. The project begins on the south end at approximately the merge of I-84 and I-15 in Riverdale and continues just beyond the 2700 N (Farr West), Exit 349. Crews have begun rehabilitation work on I-15 from the I-84 Interchange in Riverdale, to the SR-134 (2700 North) Interchange in Farr West. This work will consist of removing 1.5 inches of the asphalt surface on the roadway and then repaving with new asphalt. This process will continue through mid-September, with the majority of work happening at night.
