There has been a lot of speculation on what is going in beside Burger King on 2700 North. The ideas were ranging from a sit down diner to Chick-Fila, but we’ve been told it’s a Dialysis Center.

Reports on projects by City Council: Boyd also reported that the sewer line is being engineered. Ken Phippen and Boyd commented that a telephone pole had to be moved for the road to be installed. Ken Phippen reported on trails and grants for Smith Family Park. Ken updated the council on the City's social media statistics. Ken reported on the service project at the Smith Family Park. Ken updated the council on other options for Fiber and commented that he will get more information.

A special thanks to our amazing C.E.R.T. Council who put on a fantastic event on September 24th.  They held an Emergency Preparedness Fair with many vendors and agencies like Weber Fire District and Life Flight putting on demonstrations and providing helpful information for our citizens for times of emergency and disaster.  Recently, there was an unprecedented storm here in Northern Utah and many areas were greatly affected. Farr West experience severe rainstorms that filled and overflowed detention, retention basins and homes was being flooded. Farr West City highly appreciates all of our citizens who were willing to get out and help their neighbors to minimize damage.

Eagle Scout Project Success!

A few months ago a young scout approached me and asked if I had any ideas on projects for trails and pathways. I told him about our. General Plan which has a section addressing trails and pathways and there may be some ideas there.
He contacted me a few weeks later with a great idea and asked what his next steps would be. I told him that I thought his idea was awesome and fits right into our plans for improving and creating safe pathways throughout Farr West. I asked him to put together a nice presentation to present to the whole city council and that I was confident they would like it, approve it, and provide the necessary support for it (we did).
I've attached a little video of his presentation and the result of the work he and his fellow scouts performed.
THANK YOU AARON !
