Boyd Ferrin decided to run for City council to give back to the city what it has given to him and his family.
If elected, he would like to make sure the ordinances for the 2000 West corridor are sound, and make sure that moving forward they will be as sound in 20 years as they are today.
“There are a lot of opinions and discussions on items. However, when the air clears and the wind dies down, there is generally a unanimous decision agreed on that is best for the community at large, he states.”
Working with Pleasant View City, to assure good ordinances are in place for the 2700 North Corridor East of I-15 is an important issue for him.
According to Mr. Ferrin, three recent significant votes have taken place in the City Council: They voted to raise taxes; they need to build a stronger tax base, and they need to get the right kind of business in the City.
Mr. Ferrin is currently serving on Farr West’s City Council. He was appointed to that position with the passing of Jimmy Pappageorge, (former mayor of Farr West). Prior to serving on the City Council, he served on Farr West City Planning Commission.
