Economic Development Update:
Crossroads Project Continuing
International Council of Shopping Centers

The Crossroads at North Ogden (old Smith's re-development) continues with new paint and landscaping on the back side of the strip mall (see pic), new stores opening up (new T-Mobile store this week), and ACE construction moving forward. New landscaping (including new trees and bushes) for the front side of the project is the next step. The center will be completely re-develo...ped and looking brand new by this Fall!

I attended the Intl. Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) trade show this past week and personally pitched North Ogden to dozens of potential retailers, including craft stores, clothing stores, entertainment venues, and restaurants (casual and sit-down). I will not stop until we get a craft store and some other needed retailers! We have follow-up appointments with many of those we met with. We are working hard on plans to begin development of the large commercial parcels west of Walgreen's/America First on 2700 N. More news to follow later this year....

Re-Election:
I am asking for your support for four more years

It has been a true privilege to serve as mayor for the past four years, and it is time to stand before the people and be accountable for my performance in our great democratic tradition of freely and regularly electing our leaders. I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team during the last four years and sincerely believe that ...I have faithfully discharged my duties to you. I am proud that the city leadership is working together and as a team, and I love being part of that team.

And tomorrow morning at 9 am I will be once again entering my name as a candidate for mayor in the election to be held this Fall. I ask for

Library Renovation Progressing
Weber County Pays for Skate Park Relocation

I am pleased to report that the library renovation is underway, and that we have received $213,000 from Weber County to pay for the relocation of the Skate Park, as per the agreement we reached last year. I want to thank Commissioners Jim Harvey and Kerry W. Gibson for all their support in making this happen. We look forward to a beautiful and renovated library next year!
