Local Giant Carpet One Floor & Home Store Participates in National Effort to Help Injured Veterans{{BR}} Smart Homes Across the US Improving Veterans Lives
Ogden, Utah (Wednesday, November 5, 2014) — Giant Carpet One Floor & Home and flooring manufacturer partner Mohawk have been spending the past year helping to build smart homes for injured veterans across the United States through the Building for America’s Bravest program. Building for America’s Bravest is a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, in proud partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, which was developed to build smart homes for catastrophically injured service members.

The smart homes built by the Foundation through its Building for America’s Bravest program are custom designed to fit the needs of each individual. The goal of each new home is to help severely injured heroes live better, more independent lives. The homes are designed to be energy efficient, automated and easily accessible.

Carpet One Floor & Home and Mohawk have already completed 6 homes and will be providing flooring and installation for each smart home that Building for America’s Bravest builds. Currently there are at least 40 new homes scheduled over the next 3 years.
