Utah Senate Visual Arts Scholarship Competition

 

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Senate Visual Arts Scholarship Competition for 9th – 12th grade students is open. The Competition is sponsored by Senate President Wayne Niederhauser and the Utah State Senate.

 

Twenty – five scholarships will be awarded. Scholarship awards of $5,000, $3,000, $1,000, $500 and $300 will be deposited into accounts for the students at the Utah Educational Savings Plan.

 

The students will receive their awards in the Senate Chamber during the 2017 Legislative Session and Arts Day on the Hill, February 14, 2017. The work will be exhibited outside the Senate Chamber on the third floor of the Capitol Rotunda.

 

The 2016/17 theme is the Utah landscape (state and national parks, forests, mountains, deserts, farmland, orchards, rivers and streams).
