Gov. Herbert makes three appointments to commissions

 

SALT LAKE CITY – (June 8, 2015) Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Jordan White, Rebecca L. Rockwell and Steven J. Lund to the Public Service Commission, State Tax Commission and State Board of Regents, respectively.

 

White is the legal counsel to the Utah Public Service Commission. Previously, he served as a senior attorney for NextEra Energy, Inc. in Florida. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and is a member of the Utah State Bar. White is appointed to replace Ron Allen as a member of the Public Service Commission. Subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate, White’s remaining portion of the term will expire March 1, 2017.

 

Rockwell is a state and local tax attorney with more than 22 years of experience. She is an associate general counsel to the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel. She currently provides legal counsel to the Revenue and Taxation Interim Committee and Utah Tax Review Commission. Rockwell holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. She was also named one of Utah Business Magazine’s Utah Legal Elite (Government in 2009). Rockwell is appointed to replace D’Arcy Dixon Pignanelli as a member of the State Tax Commission. Subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate, her term will expire June 30, 2019.

 

Lund serves as the chairman of the Board of Directors for Nu Skin Enterprises. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer of Nu Skin Enterprises. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and is a member of the Utah and Arizona Bar Associations. He has served on the board of directors for the Direct Selling Association. Lund is appointed to replace Jed Pitcher as a member of the State Board of Regents. Subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate, Lund’s term will expire June 30, 2021.
