autumn aloft prepares for takeoff
Park City, Utah (September 10, 2014) – The Autumn Aloft hot air balloon festival prepares for takeoff as festival dates approach. Autumn Aloft is scheduled for September 20 and 21, 2014 in Park City, Utah.
“Longtime Park City residents, newcomers and visitors alike have been eagerly awaiting Autumn Aloft since whispers of the event’s return began last spring,” explains Bob Kollar, Park City Chamber Bureau Special Events Director. “After a 20-year hiatus the significance of this event to the community remains monumental. Autumn Aloft was one of the original iconic Park City events. The community support and excitement have been contagious.”
Autumn Aloft is scheduled for September 19 – 21, 2014 in Park City, Utah. The event will take place at locations throughout Park City. 18 balloonists have been invited to the event.
Schedule of Events
Saturday, September 20
7 - 9 a.m. Main Launch at the North 40 Fields
8:30 – 9:00 p.m. Historic Park City Balloon Glow
Sunday, September 21
7 - 9 a.m. Main Launch at the North 40 Fields
MEDIA NOTE: A private media launch is scheduled for Friday, September 19 from 7 – 9 a.m. Limited media rides are available.

Parking for the Main Launch events is available at the Park City School District lots along HWY 248. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, carpool, walk, or bike when possible. Overflow parking is available at China Bridge in Historic Park City with Park City Transit running to the event venue beginning at 7:19 a.m.
Parking for the Glow event is available in the China Bridge parking structure in Historic Park City.
