Farr West Happenings

On November 18th, Farr West citizens packed the City Hall to hear about the General Plan, cemetery, and Smith Family Park; and to share their thoughts and ideas with the City leaders. There were two conceptual layouts for the Smith Family Park that were designed by citizens of Farr West City. All interested residents were invited and encouraged to give feedback on these projects. There was a survey at the open house and they were also available on line and at the City office for a week or so after the meeting.

The results are in from the surveys:

With the surveys, the Planning commission will have a place to start with making plans. There will be more opportunities for people to voice their thoughts and opinions about the future for Farr West City. As the plans are coming together for the new park in Farr West, the City held a controlled burn of old rafters and debris to help clear the way for the Smith Family Park.

Carson Porter is working on his Eagle project—focusing on literacy. He is making phonic phones for local elementary schools and holding a book drive to collect books for the schools also. If you have any new or used books that you would like to donate, please let him know and he will pick them up. He will also have a box in the church foyer that you can drop your books in. Carson wants thank you for your support.
