Farr West—Mark your calendars for the November 4th Election Day. Farr West City plans to apply for RAMP grant money to help make a reality the new plans of parks and trails. This option is available on the November 4th ballot. 

Farr West Senior Center at 1896 North 1800 West wants to remind everyone of all the daily activities they have going on there. Power walking, quilting, bingo, Wii bowling, stained- glass classes. There are once-a-month clinics that include foot clinics, blood pressure checks, and lunches.

There were several public hearings that were on the docket. The first hearing was to discuss and/or act upon the request for a conditional-use permit for a kennel license for Audrey Rogers located at 3180 North 2700 West. The second hearing was to consider the request of a conditional-use permit for J. Brad Barto Construction Office located at 1750 West 2550 North. The third was to discuss approval of the updated fee schedule and other related ordinances.

Reed M. Richards, Chairman of RAMP Committee did a RAMP presentation for Weber County, since this happens to be a ballot issue on November 4th.

Approval was given for the Farr West Meadows phases 5 that is located 2400 West 2777 North.

            The boys’ basketball registration started October 15th  and will go to November 29th  for the 1st grade to 9th graders. 1st and 2nd grade basketball will be played on a weeknight that will be announced. Games will go until the middle of March. Third grade and up will be played on Saturdays, game times will vary throughout the day and may be played at the surrounding cities of Pleasant View, Harrisville, Farr West and North Ogden. (*Please Note: If you are on the Junior High Basketball team, you cannot play in this recreation league.  However, 7th grade Red Shirt players are allowed.)
