MILLY EXPRESS OPENS 12.15.2017

Our snowmaking crew has been working round the clock and their efforts are paying off!  Milly Express will open for the season on Friday, December 15th.

METHODOLOGY IS THIS SATURDAY!

METHODOLOGY is a contest dreamt up by our good buddy Pat Moore to put a spin on your standard banked slalom race.  Racers will be timed through a banked slalom course but at the end of the run, we built a double sided hip.  Contestants will send their best method off the hip and if its worthy of the judges, time will be subtracted from the riders banked slalom run.

Each winter, our conservation officers spend many hours conducting patrols on winter ranges that are vulnerable to poaching. These patrols often start in the early evening and run through the early morning hours. Officers sweep known areas of concern to apprehend and discourage poachers.
Accompany enthusiastic birders on annual count

Whether they spot a partridge in a pear tree or seven swans-a-swimming, avid birders will take detailed notes during this year’s Christmas Bird Count. Volunteers of all ages will head outdoors between Dec. 14 and Jan. 5 to document the numbers and species of birds they see. This annual event began in 1900 and has become the longest-running citizen science effort in the world. A DWR biologist will participate in counts in Salt Lake City, Payson and along the Jordan River in the upcoming weeks. Reporters and photographers are invited to accompany her on the trips.
A complete list of all Utah sites and dates for the Christmas Bird Count is available at http://www.utahbirds.org/cbc/cbc.html.
