Due to the outbreak of illness related to the Ebola virus, as a precautionary measure, all missionaries have safely departed from Sierra Leone and Liberia, and have been reassigned to other locations. Temple Square in Salt Lake City is recognized as an international tourist destination. An estimated 5 million visitors come to the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints each year to see the Salt Lake Temple and the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir, as well as to learn about the area’s pioneer history and to work on their genealogy. Brand USA, the destination marketing organization of the United States, will feature Temple Square and other attractions in Salt Lake City and Park City in a new video that is being filmed to promote Utah overseas. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members were honored last month in La Paz, Bolivia, for many years of humanitarian work throughout the country. In addition to honoring the Church for its charitable work, the La Paz Departmental Legislative Assembly recognized the 50th anniversary of the organization of the Church in the Andean country.
