Kevin J Worthen J.D. Named Brigham Young University’s 13th President

Kevin J Worthen, J.D. will become the 13th president of Brigham Young University (BYU), replacing Dr. Cecil O. Samuelson, effective 1 May 2014. Worthen is the former dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law School and the current advancement vice president of BYU. He will replace Dr. Cecil O. Samuelson, who has served as the 12th president of BYU for the past 11 years. Full Story

Mormon Tabernacle Choir Easter Concert to Feature Handel’s Messiah

In a very rare performance, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square will present Handel’s Messiah in its entirety. The Easter performance will coincide with Good Friday, 18 April, and Saturday, 19 April 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle and will also be the first time in 10 years that the full choir and orchestra will perform at the annual Easter concert.
