Governor appoints Hogan to the Third District Court
SALT LAKE CITY – (Oct. 14, 2014) Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed L. Douglas Hogan to fill a judicial vacancy on the Third District Court.
“Doug Hogan will be a great asset to the Third District Court,” said Gov. Herbert. “He has experience and is a man of honor. I am confident he will perform his job with the utmost integrity.”
Hogan has been the elected County Attorney for Tooele County since 2007. Prior to his service with Tooele County, he worked in private practice in the Law Office of L. Douglas P.C. (2000-06) and as in-house counsel to S.K. Hart Management (1999-2000).
"I am honored by the Governor's selection and look forward to serving the citizens of the Third District," said Hogan.
Subject to confirmation by the Utah State Senate, Hogan will fill the vacancy that will result from the retirement of Judge L.A. Denver on Nov. 1, 2014.
