Additional Information:
The LGBT Community Endowment Fund is one of over 200 philanthropic funds managed by the Community Foundation of Utah. The endowment unites LGBT giving to create the biggest, most meaningful impact for donors, and for Utah.
Since established in 2011, the LGBT Community Endowment fund has granted $243,600 to 20 nonprofit organizations.
With grants ranging in size generally from $1,000-$5,000, the fund has supported arts performance, youth mentoring, education, legal aid, anti-bullying, aid to rural organizations focused on the LGBT community, college internships, and more, demonstrating the power of LGBT philanthropy and its commitment to the health and well-being of everyone in our state.
This year, the selection committee is awarding $40,000 to 12 nonprofit organizations throughout Utah who are addressing the most pressing issues of the LGBTQ community. They will all be in attendance at the reception, which is really being held in their honor.
