Mormon apostle expresses optimism for religious freedom’s future

President Uchtdorf, Other Faith Leaders Meet With President Obama on Immigration

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reaffirmed its position on immigration as the White House met with religious leaders to discuss immigration reform. President Dieter F. #BecauseofHim: Church Launches Easter Initiative Focused on Jesus Christ

A weeklong, Christ-focused social media initiative that includes memes and a prominently placed YouTube video began 13 April (Palm Sunday) and extends through Easter. In the effort (titled “Because of Him,” with an accompanying #BecauseofHim hashtag), The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims its belief that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God who overcame sorrow and death for men and women everywhere. New Mormon Tabernacle Choir Video Celebrates Easter Season

Fans of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will enjoy a new video recently posted online that celebrates the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter season. The video, featuring the choir singing He Is Risen, runs more than three minutes in length. Full Story

Atlantic Coast Mormon Tabernacle Choir Tour Announced

A summer 2015 concert tour has been announced by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The 360-voice world-renowned choir will be accompanied by the 68 member Orchestra at Temple Square. The tour will include stops in Bethesda, Maryland; New York City, Saratoga Springs, Bethel Woods, New York and a final concert in Boston, Massachusetts, beginning 24 June through 7 July 2015. Church Provides Furniture to Utah Ronald McDonald House

Humanitarian outreach by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is benefitting many people throughout the country through dozens of non-profit organizations in Utah and surrounding states.
