Thursday, September 19, 2019 - 10:15am
Tami L. Johnson

Mark your calendars for the annual Harrisville Fall Festival on October 28th, 2019 located at the main park at 1350 N. Hwy 89. Festivities start at 5 p.m. Free donuts and hot cocoa will be provided under the bowery.  Come join the fun!

And when you think of fall, you’re probably thinking of Halloween!  This year’s Trunk or Treat will be something you won’t want to miss.  This allows children to have a safe environment as an alternative to nighttime trick or treating.  You can come and decorate your truck of your car, truck, trailer or whatever it be!  Contact Jennie Knight  at jknight@cityofharrisville.com or 891-782-4100 ext. 1000.

Also, the Annual Fall Clean Up is just around the corner on October 15-20. Containers will be located at the main park; one for rocks and one for green waste. No hazardous waste or construction debris will be accepted. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity to clean up your yards and neighborhoods.

Weber County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) basic training class starts September 19, 2019. The class will be held in two sections: an online class or an in class, hands-on instruction. The online class can be found here: https://cert.hazready.com/hazready/home. The cost of the training is $35 which includes hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and mask. If you have any questions please reach out to the Weber County Emergency Management Lead Lance Peterson at 801-778-6682.
