Kiwanis Achievement Award at Fremont

Plain City—An Achievement Award was presented at Fremont High in May.  The award went to Jacob Black, whose counselor was Kim Deamer, and was presented by Loren Jepson, a Kiwanis member. Achievement Awards go to a graduating senior. The school counselors are asked to select a student who has struggled the first year or two of high school, but who has turned things around and made significant progress in academics and citizenship. This was the third year of this award, where a $500 cash award is given to encourage the student to further their education.
