The City Council recently awarded Staker Parson Companies with their new parking lot projects since they were the lowest bidder. Staker Parson had recently helped with the project on 600 west and did a good job there. Areas included in the project are the main parking lot at Shady Lane Park and the City’s shop parking lot.
The Council also amended the Consolidated Fee Schedule for Road Cuts deposits and fees. The Road Cut deposits include: $ 4.00 per square feet for compaction; $ 6.00 per square feet for asphalt repair during the summer; and $ 8.00 per square feet for asphalt repair during the winter. Councilman Burns also stressed the emphasis of this plan being a temporary fix until an ordinance can be put in place.
A big thanks to all the volunteers who helped out with Founder’s Day on June 28. There were many different events for families to enjoy including: a 5K run, a parade, a car show, a fireworks show and other fun activities.
