Principal's Corner Third Quarter

Greetings. It’s hard to believe half of the school year is behind us! We are grateful to our students for their efforts in the classroom along with the manner in which they represent NOJH. We hope that they will plan to continue their pursuit for excellence during the remainder of the year. We want to thank everyone who donated to our holiday fundraising efforts. Many needy families were extended a little help to counter misfortunes they are facing. The NOJH community is very loving and generous!

Our December dance was a huge hit! We were so impressed with how our Knights dressed and conducted themselves at this great school activity.

The boy’s basketball team has started it’s seasons for this year. They won their opening game over Orion Jr. High this week; we are looking forward to this week against Wahlquist and T.H. Bell. We are also excited about our upcoming fine arts musical production of “Guys and Dolls Jr”. It will run from March 19th - 22nd on the NOJH stage. Many Knight students are busy gearing up for their role in making the production a huge hit! We are proud of our talented young people and their director, Ms. Moore.

Our next Incentive Activity (for 2nd quarter) is planned for February 13th. Qualifying students (GPA= 3.2 or higher no N's or U's) are eligible to spend a day skiing/snowboarding at Wolf Mountain! Information on cost will be forth coming. We will also have a movie here at the school for those students who meet the incentive but choose not to go skiing. We appreciate our counselors, Dominique Sanders and Rhett Fronk, for their efforts in organizing this incentive activity.

We want to let your students know how proud we are of each of them. Our teachers are working hard every day to structure lesson plans and incorporate teaching strategies that inspire their students for greatness and prepare them for their future academic/life challenges. Thank-you for all of your efforts; we want to encourage them to “stay the course”. . Remember the theme our SBO’s have chosen this year:  “Ig-Knight” the Future!

Finish the school year strong and GO KNIGHTS!
