Congress is scrambling to make a deal on amnesty before the March 5 deadline. The Left is holding their ground and refusing to stop fighting for amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.

You have seen the dysfunction amnesty has created, and this Obama-era illegal executive order must come to an end on March 5. And that's why we need your name added to this petition.

Add your name, along with thousands of other conservative patriots like yourself, to the petition that demands an end to amnesty >>

With your signature, you demand that Congress gets it's act together by ending amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants and passing conservative immigration reform.

The FMC Board's First "Civic Dialogue"

Dear friends of FMC,

At the beginning of February, our generous and thoughtful board members Leslie Gilbert-Lurie and Aileen Adams hosted Fostering Media Connections' first “civic dialogue.” This intimate event started conversations among some of the most passionate, brilliant and influential minds in child welfare in Los Angeles and beyond, including panelists Congressmember Karen Bass, LA County DCFS Director Bobby Cagle, Alliance for Children's Rights' CEO Laurie Rubiner and FMC's own Daniel Heimpel.

The dialogue, "Reforming Child Welfare and the Media's Glare," provided an opportunity for people serving vulnerable children and families via policy, practice and philanthropy to discuss their efforts in Los Angeles County and nationally. Discussions highlighted soft spots in policy and practice where local and national media can shine a spotlight and drive positive change. At Fostering Media Connections, we approach journalism through this lens in our two publications, The Chronicle of Social Change and Fostering Families Today, and we share it with our friends and partners in the journalism field.

Reflecting back on the evening, we feel confident that readers of The Chronicle of Social Change and Fostering Families Today will also soon join the conversation as issues brought to our attention by participants appear in our coverage.

And as was true during the civic dialogue, Fostering Media Connections is ready and waiting to amplify the conversation about policies and practices aimed to serve our nation's most vulnerable children, youth and families.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Green, Director of Programs and Operations

NEW ALBUM shrine SET TO RELEASE IN MARCH

"'Colored Out' is an upbeat track that showcases all of the best parts of The Republic of Wolves. The soothing verses build up an atmospheric sound while leading you towards a massive chorus." -Substream Magazine

New York, NY - February 22, 2018 - Long Island alternative rockers, The Republic of Wolves have teamed up with Substream Magazine to debut their new single "Colored Out" off of their forthcoming album shrine, due out March 27, 2018. The track is available to listen to here: http://bit.ly/2EW3jEW.

Mason Maggio, the band's vocalist and guitarist shares, "'Colored Out' is one of the more upbeat songs on the record, although it deals with heavy lyrical themes of loss and self-identity. The song initially grew out of a guitar riff that we had written for our 2010 album Varuna, so it has a lot of history for us - but lyrically and instrumentally it developed into something that, I think, embodies the contrasting sounds of this project really well."

The Republic of Wolves, the 5-piece alternative rock band native to Long Island, NY, formed in 2009, and first garnered their popularity solely through social media and word-of-mouth. The band has since then built a widespread fan base with two full-length albums and two EPs, and has shared the stage with noteworthy bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, KOJI, Good Old War, Matchbook Romance, and were previously a featured act on Vans Warped Tour.

shrine is to be released on March 27, 2018. For more information, please visit http://therepublicofwolves.com/.
