We are working to finalize the pages in the yearbook for events that have already happened, as well as for grade section photos. Please use the upload link in the email to send in your photos for possible inclusion in the yearbook. We would love to include as many students as possible in the events, but to do this we NEED you to send us photos (and/or videos!).

We desperately need the following event photos (I’ve added the dates of the events to make searching your phones for photos easier):

****1. BOO HOO BREAKFAST - August 28th

**2. ROOM PARENT MINGLE - September 10th

3. Back to School Night - August 17th

4. Valentine’s Box Contest - February 14th

5. Choir Concert (especially close-ups)- December

We also would really appreciate photos from the following events:

1. Grade Sections (photos of your child with their classmates on field trips, class parties, lunch, library, playground ,etc.) - All year

2. Reflections (photos of your child making their art, carrying art to school, with their friends with winning medals, etc.) - All year

3. Halloween (photos from the Halloween Parade especially) - October 31st

4. Chinese New Year (especially photos from the TreeHouse day) - March 15th

5. Fun Run - November 21st

6. Art Night - October

UPLOAD LINK (You can even do it right from your phone!): https://uploads.picaboo.com/8110561

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!

Sincerely,

Bates PTA

-------------------------

Our 6th grade is in need of some help on a service project they are doing. They are collecting food for one of our local food banks. Their donation drive ends this FRIDAY, and they have not collected very many items.  They would appreciate anything you can send to school with your child!

Here is the list of items needed:

  • canned fruit
  • peanut butter
  • Grains (pasta, rice, etc.)
  • Snacks (crackers, granola bars, etc.)
  • easy items (Hamburger Helper, spaghetti sauce - canned, so it doesn’t break)
  • baby food
  • jam and jelly - plastic containers
  • canned chicken, SPAM, tuna
  • toiletries - toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste
  • pet items - dog food
  • diapers
  • baby items - must be new.  (Clothes, burp cloths, quilts, etc.)
  • MONEY DONATIONS

ANYTHING you would normally buy is great!  Even recently expired items can be used if the cans are in good condition.  CCS asked for items to be donated in regular or small containers, rather than in large bulk sizes, so that more families can benefit.

Sincerely,

Ms. Wright
