Farr West City is looking for a Seasonal Worker for the 2019 Summer. This position includes work such as mowing lawns, spin trimming, cleaning/maintaining parks, other outdoor work, and any other duties as assigned. To apply for this position please fill out the application & return it to the city offices located at 1896 N 1800 W during regular business hours.

The Farr West City Council will be holding a public hearing to review the 2019-2020 Tentative Budget for the city on June 6, 2019 at 7pm at City Hall.

With the mosquito season in full swing the Weber Mosquito Abatement District would like to remind you to do your part and keep family, neighbors and yourself safe, inspect your yard often and change or drain any sources of water. Sources of water may include bird baths or fountains, rain gutters, plant sources, tree holes and stumps, open trash or recycling bins, ponds, kiddie pools, pet dishes, old tires, buckets, wheel barrows & wagons, toys, neglected swimming pools or overwatered lawns and gardens. Notice of openings for City offices is hereby given that the Municipal Offices in Farr West City to be voted on in the Municipal General Election on November 5, 2019 are:

 Three (3) City Council Members - 4 year term each - Candidate Filing Period Begins on June 3, 2019 and ends on June 7, 2019, Declaration of Candidacy Forms or Nomination Petition must be filed in person with the City Recorder at 1896 N 1800 W, Farr West, Utah between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Municipal Candidate Qualifications are:

1) Be a United States citizen at the time of filing

2) Be at least 18 years old

3) Be a registered voter of Farr West City

4) Be a resident of Farr West City for at least 365 consecutive days immediately preceding the dated of election (November 5, 2019)

5) Not be a convicted felon

REMINDER If you are in need of Sand & sandbags they are available at Farr West City Park approx. 2000 N 2000 W.

The Rec. Center SUMMER hours begin JUNE 3, 2019 and are as follows: Mon -Thurs 5:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.           3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Fri - 5:30 am-10:00 am & 3 Saturday 8 am-Noon and Sunday *Winter Hours will resume on October 1.

 Thursday, July 4, 2019: Farr West Freedom Festival

The annual Freedom Festival is coming up.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with any activities during this event, please contact Councilman Boyd Ferrin at the City Office, 801-731-4187, right away as we are actively involved in planning all of the details now.  We greatly appreciate all of the community involvement we can get!  More information will be available in soon..
