This month we have been focusing on the Power of Yet. The word "yet" with only three letters has such power. It means and implied time, still, even or nevertheless. Yet provides us with hope to continue on in a struggle. Consider the difference between "I can't do this" vs "I can't do this yet"

We live in a world today where it seems like perfection is expected the first time we attempt something. This perfection mentality can impact mental health. Just adding in that three letter word "yet," it lends a feeling of hope and sticking to the task at hand. The word yet lets us know that anything is possible.

During the next few weeks consider adding the word "yet" into your conversations at home. A couple of phrases to consider adding yet to would be "I can't do this yet," "I don't get it yet," "I don't know yet," "It doesn't make sense yet," "I'm not good at this yet."

If you have a K-3 student, ask them about the Giraffes Can't Dance Yet book they enjoyed with Mrs. Ramage this month
If you have a 4-6 student, ask them about the stick dance activity they did with Mrs. Ramage this month
