DILUIGI FOODS INC. RECALLS CHICKEN SAUSAGE PRODUCTS

DUE TO MISBRANDING AND UNDECLARED ALLERGENS

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25, 2017 – DiLuigi Foods Inc., a Danvers, Mass. establishment, is recalling approximately 3,448 pounds of chicken breakfast sausage products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains soy lecithin, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

The chicken breakfast sausage items were produced and packaged from Aug. 10, 2017 to Aug. 24, 2017. The following products are subject to recall:

• 1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing 5 pieces of “TRADER JOE’S CHICKEN BREAKFAST SAUSAGE.”

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-4398” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to Trader Joe’s retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered during routine FSIS label verification activities.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact John Carroll, QA Manager, at (978) 750-9700 ext. 5805. Media with questions about the recall can contact Bill Morris, VP of Operations, at (978) 750-9700 ext. 5764.

Consumers with food safety questions can "Ask Karen," the FSIS virtual representative available 24 hours a day at AskKaren.gov or via smartphone at m.askkaren.gov. The toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6854) is available in English and Spanish and can be reached from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern Time) Monday through Friday. “In the Tracks of the First” | Directed by Matthias Mayr  | Q&A to follow
Austrian Freeride skiers and adventurers Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr embark on a mission to ski some of the steepest walls in their home mountains, the alps. Years before both were even born, those walls were ridden by dauntless young mountaineers. Now, more than 30 years later, Hauni and Matthias meet up with their predecessors and compare conditions now and then and try to ski with the gear of the past as well as with their actual Hi Tec gear. The North Face of Zillertals highest Summit, the “Hochfeiler“ and the most famous ice climbing route in Austria, the “Pallavicini Couloir“ located at Austria’s highest mountain, “Großglockner“ are the main objectives.

“The Park” | Directed by John Dickey
The Park is a love story between a wild mountain environment and the climbers who love it. Rocky Mountain National Park sees few visitors in winter because of its heinous conditions but for a small group of climbers it is exactly what they are looking for. The Park dishes out its worst and the climbers wallow in it trying to understand why they are hear putting up with it all.

SATURDAY: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
“Safety Third” | Directed by Cedar Wright
“There’s a fine line between being bold and being a dumbass. And I think Brad did some time on both sides of the line.” Such are the words filmmaker and climber Cedar Wright uses to describe the subject of his new film. Meet Brad Gobright, 27 years old, busboy at a fine dining establishment, dirtbag, college dropout. Gobright’s diet consists of sprinkled donuts, scraps from work, glazed croissants, apple pie, and any and all junk food. And one other thing: Gobright is one of the best and boldest free solo climbers in the sport — who nobody has ever heard of. Safety Third shines the spotlight on Gobright, probably for a shorter moment than he deserves. But it doesn’t matter. His mind is elsewhere, focused on his next free solo.

“Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia” | Directed by Jim Aikman
Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia is a film about one man’s journey from the top of the world to the end of the line. Jeff helped make climbing what it is today, through technical innovation and more than a thousand first ascents, including “Metanoia” on the north face of the Eiger, where he experienced a spiritual transformation that continues to this day. Jeff’s story inspires us all, as he brings the creativity and strength that characterized his climbing career to the challenge that he faces today: his own mortality.

SUNDAY: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
“Mile for Mile” | Directed by James Q Martin
Ultrarunners Krissy Moehl, Jeff Browning and Luke Nelson run 106 miles through the newly opened Patagonia Park in Chile, to celebrate and highlight Conservacion Patagonica’s efforts to re-wild and protect this vast landscape.

“Wainwright Record Attempt” | Directed by Alastair Lee
The unassuming and unlikely Steve Birkinshaw is one of the great fell runners. Have your mind and arteries blown as Steve attempts to break the legendary Joss Naylor’s 27 year old record by linking up all 214 Lakeland Wainwright summits in under seven days. A level of suffering breaching into the super human. Blister hell, dehydration, searing heat and tendonitis are just some of the obstacles between Steve and a place in fell running history. Essentially this is not a story about fell running but of the relentless human spirit. THE WAINWRIGHTS IN NUMBERS: 214 Lakeland summits, 320 miles, 36,000m of ascent | The equivalent of 2 marathons a day, up and down Everest 4 times.
