Ski Resorts are a favorite winter activity. There are three close to home in the Weber County area:

We have added two new lifts and over 1,000 acres of lift serviced terrain this season, pushing our in-bounds skiable terrain to a massive 8,464 acres covered entirely by the greatest snow on earth, direct from Mother Nature. Instead of packing more people into the resort, we are limiting lift ticket sales to 2,000 per day ensuring the lowest skier density of any major ski resort in North America. Your powder paradise is waiting just an hour from Salt Lake airport!”

They offer many things like Snowcat Sunset ride, Expedition Backcountry, Power Expeditions and Inbound Guided Tours.

Location: Utah Highway 158, 8000 North 5100 East, Eden, Utah (19 miles northeast of Ogden, Utah

55 miles north of Salt Lake International Airport.)    Directions from Salt Lake City: Take I-15 north to Ogden’s 12th Street, turn east and follow the signs through Ogden Canyon.

Directions from Park City: Take I-80 east to I-84 junction, then west on I-84 to exit 96 and follow the signs.

Hours: 9 am to 9 pm                      Lift rates Adults day pass $79.00     Adult night $27.00

There is over 8464 skiable acres of groomed runs and powder skiing with 2800 acres served by lifts. Features day & night skiing, ski rentals, and shops, tours, snow sports, lessons, restaurants and lodging.

Hungry for breakfast? Start your day right with a ride up to John Paul Lodge for a fresh Belgian waffle and cup of Daily Rise coffee. Or head into the Cinnabar for our plated brunch, which will be served all week this week from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. End your day at the Cinnabar for free acres’ ski music with A Shadow of a Jaguar.”

We are just a simple 40-minute drive from Salt Lake City and 50-minute drive from Park City! Our GPS location is 3925 E. Snowbasin Road, Huntsville, Utah.  From Park City, I-80 east to I-84 west to Mountain Green exit 96.

From Salt Lake City, I-15 north to U. S. 89 north exit 324 to I-84 east Mountain Green exit 92. Snowbasin Resort is 8 miles from Mountain Green on S. R. 167 (Trappers Loop).

The Activities Desk in Earl’s Lodge is open for Season Pass pick-up 8:30am - 4:30pm and the Grizzly Center is open 8:00am - 5:00pm for shopping, tunes and rentals. Earl’s Lodge, Needles Lodge, John Paul Lodge, Strawberry Cafe’ and Cinnabar will be open for dining. More than just our lodges and slopes are World Class. Snowbasin Resort is Top Ten Rated in food, lifts, service and grooming by Ski Magazine Readers.

The Ice Sheet was built in 1994 as an Olympics venue for the 2002 Winter Games. The Ice Sheet is known as one of the top curling venues in the world and now is a proud addition to Weber County's recreational facilities. The Ice Sheet offers a wide variety of recreation and sport opportunities in such areas as Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, Curling, and Public Skates. The Ice Sheet welcomes participants from 3-100+, so come join us and enjoy our year around winter sport facility.
