Campaign launches VOTE.UTAH.GOV promotion

SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 2, 2014) — The State of Utah’s election website, VOTE.UTAH.GOV, is the focus of a new television campaign promoting the site’s one-stop source for all things related to voting in November’s election.

The TV spots – featuring Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox as the “man on the street” – encourages all eligible Utahns to educate themselves, register to vote and, ultimately, vote in the 2014 election. The campaign, which launched on Utah television stations this week, features the lieutenant governor interacting with Utah voters at locations around the Wasatch Front over the past several weeks.

VOTE.UTAH.GOV is the best resource for potential and current voters and we make it our focus to get the word out every election year,” Lt. Governor Cox said. "As you can see, we have fun promoting voter literacy and the benefits of our state's website."

As the chief election officer for the state, Lt. Governor Cox oversees VOTE.UTAH.GOV. Visitors to the site can register to vote, find their polling location, review a personalized sample ballot and research candidates, judges and issues so they have no surprises on Election Day. Utahns can also visit VOTE.UTAH.GOV to find information about early voting, vote by-mail, and related deadlines.

Important upcoming dates related to the 2014 election are:

  • Deadline to register online: Oct. 28

  • Early Voting: Oct. 21- Oct. 31

  • General Election Day: Nov. 4
