Did you know that more than 3.4 million cats enter shelters nationwide and only 1.3 million find forever homes each year? This month – during Adopt a Shelter Cat Month – Purina Cat Chow has partnered with 50 shelters, including the Best Friends Animal Society, to help find forever homes for at least 2,500 shelter cats. If your community and cat people nationwide rally together, the Best Friends Animal Society will receive a donation up to $1,500 from Purina Cat Chow.
Here is how your community can help:
1. Share your cat adoption or rescue story using the #MyRescueStory hashtag to help more cats find their forever homes. For every #MyRescueStory shared, Purina Cat Chow will help subsidize a cat adoption fee – a donation of $30 per cat and up to $1,500 per shelter – at one of its 50 shelter partners including the Best Friends Animal Society.
2. Visit the Best Friends Animal Society to adopt and give a cat a forever home!
