Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church, Ogden, Utah will hold a worship service and reception to welcome Reverend Brandee Jasmine Mimitzraiem and her family to the community on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:30pm. The worship service will be held at the church, at 264 30th Street, in Ogden. Members welcomed Reverend Mimitzraiem to its pulpit as leader, following her January 2015 appointment to Embry Chapel AMEC by the Rt. Reverend T. Larry Kirkland, Bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District, AMEC. Rev. Corey Hodges of New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Salt Lake City will be the guest speaker.
Embry Chapel has been a part of the Ogden community since 1908. Members believe that their new leader will revitalize the church’s presence in Ogden. “We are a loving, welcoming congregation that points to Jesus,” Rev. Mimitzraiem said, “We want to strengthen our relationship with the city, to demonstrate the love of Christ for the congregation and for the community.”
Rev. Mimitzraiem is a native of Denver, Colorado. She is joined in ministry by her sons, Salahaldin and Jafaralsadiq.
