AG DETENTION BASIN PROJECT - PHASE 2

 

PLEASANT VIEW CITY CORPORATION

 

RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be received at Pleasant View City Hall, 520 W. Elberta Dr., Pleasant View, Utah until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for the PLEASANT VIEW CITY CORPORATION AG DETENTION BASIN PROJECT - PHASE 2. At which time, bids will be opened publicly.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work will consist of clearing and grubbing vegetation, grading, installing concrete pipe, manholes, outlet structure, gravel drain, asphalt entrance driveway with concrete curb and gutter, and fencing.

LOCATION OF THE WORK: All work is located on City property situated behind the residential homes on 3850 North, 550 West and 3750 North in Pleasant View City, Utah.

COMPLETION OF THE WORK: All work covered by the contract documents shall be completed by July 31, 2014. Following Notice to Proceed, the work shall be completed within 60 calendar days.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, Jones and Associates, 1716 E. 5600 S., South Ogden, Utah, upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee.

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to Pleasant View City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of worker's compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the contract price.

WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of 30 calendar days from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidder's shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal" products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.

OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive an informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner.

Youth Council  

 

Pleasant View City sponsors a Youth Council to provide the youth of our community an opportunity to get involved with the city government and provide opportunities for service and education.  Members meet twice a month.  All members of the Council must live within the boundaries of Pleasant View and be in grades 9 thru 12 (for the 2014-2015 school year).  All Youth Council members will be representing our city and would be expected to be willing to serve, attend meetings, support the goals of the Council, and be individuals of character and integrity.  Applicants may be expected to participate in a short interview with the YC Advisor and Youth Council Mayor.  This is an opportunity to serve the community, develop leadership skills, and participate in educational experiences. 

 

All applications for Youth Council will be due back to the city office building by April 30th, 2014.
