Farr West and Pleasant View have had a joint traffic study being done along the 2700 North corridor, including the traffic animations based on a variety of changes to help with managing the currant traffic and the expected increase of traffic. The 2700 North corridor has many challenges now and in the foreseeable future. With the corridor having a number of businesses’ along it now, expansion of more businesses’, freeway on and off ramps and the expansion of the frontrunner to the north, there is a great cause for concern for the future. This report has been sent to the Committee for review. Both Cities than will decide how to prepare for future growth and proper management of the traffic along the busy corridor.

There are a number of subdivision that have been before the city with a few of the more recent ones being preliminary approval of the Blakley Acres Subdivision around 2375 West 3300 North and another at 1743 Farr West Drive being the Ben Lomond Subdivision.

Wahlquist Jr. High boys’ basketball has been working hard on their game with 4 wins and only 2 losses in their season this year. The girls’ basketball has just begun starting February 14 and will continue until mid-March.

Wahlquist Jr. High baseball tryouts are on Monday, March 17th. With games starting March 27th going until May 6th with the play-offs and championship games after that. Come on out and support the local teams. We also have both boys’ and girls’ track starting
